Friedline Family Genealogy Forum

Dear Helene, Yesterday, some of the data I supplied you was erroneous. Your William Henry Friedline is the son of William, b. 1821 PA who was married to Elizabeth L., last name unknown, 3 April 1845 at Williamsville, Erie County, New York. William, Sr. died 18 September at Buffalo, Erie County, NY. Wife Elizabeth died 1 November 1905 same town and county. Given that these records are fairly recent, you may be able to obtain them from Erie County or the State Archives in Albany. The Sally and Elizabeth listed on the previous message are actually the aunts of your ancestor rather than his sisters. The senior William is the son of Conrad and Nancy Friedline. This was a Pennsylvania German family and one of the Friedline wills was written in that language. It is my understanding that there is an old German cemetary in the vicinity of Buffalo where most of the Friedlines are buried. I believe the county they came from in PA was Schykill. I know I didn't give the info you asked on your ancestor because there was little to offer, but hopefully his family background will offer some insight on his life. KIM
