My great-grandfather is Morris Friedlander, son of Samuel Friedlander, originally from Kovno. HIs hebrew name is Moishe ben Smuel Hirosh. He came to England a bit before 1889, I think, and married Betsy Stoller. He then had many children (1 boy Issy (Reuben), and 6 girls (Yetta, Figa [Fanny], Edie, Tilly, Alice and Sophie) and adopted a daughter Leah from Betsy's first marriage to a Solomon Lazarus. There were also a couple of children who died young: Louis and one other.
I am descended from the youngest daughter, Sophie.
It would be great to learn more about Kovno Friedlanders.
