I am very interested in the information on George Fridley, he is the father of Barbara Fridley who married David Bolton, my ancestors.
!DEED: Isaac Fridley, Caty and her husband Adam Losh, Barbara and her husband
David Bolton, Charles Fridley and his wife Peggy and George Fridley and his
wife Margaret sold their undivided 5/11 share of 138 acres of land on Smith
Creek in 1815 to George Haga for $1000 which descended to them by the death of
their father George Fridely who died intestate. This land was bought by George
Fridley from John Armentrout on April 23, 1779 for 100 acres and by patent on
March 24, 1796 for 39 acres.Burnt Deed Book 00 p. 405 date Nov. 11, 1815.
(Per another record this is DB 3 p. 46 and 47.
In 1753 he patented 100 acres on Craig's Creek. In 1765 Henry Long conveys to
George Fridley for 20 pds 120 acres between Ricked Mountain and Shenandore
River, part of 2500 acre patent to Henry Long in 1760. In 1799 George Fridley
m. Peggy Armentrout. Peggy's surety was Henry Armentrout and her witness was
Will Loving. In 1767 George lived and was processioned along with men of
Alleghany Co. He died in 1843. He appears to have been a farmer. The
appraisement of his estate is in the county records.
