Hello Bertil Friberg: I so much appreciate your assistance. Let me provide a little more detailed information. August Frieburg (Friberg) was born in Morrom, Blekinge, Sweden on November 1, 1863. August had an older brother Charles Frieburg (possibly Carl Johan) born January 12, 1858, (possibly in Sonderborg, Denmark). Research done in the ealry 1980's suggests their mother was Johanna Petersdaughter, born September 18, 1824. There may or may not be a father of record. Also, Charles left the vicinity of Morrom in 1884 to immigrate to the United States. It appears August left the vacinity of Morrom in 1887 to immigrate to the United States. Also, August may have married Mathilda Magnusdatter, born December 12, 1857, on or about March 15, 1885. Mathilda may have died from tuberculosis on or about July 10, 1885. I have August's marrriage license taken out in 1890, in Paxton, Illinois, USA, where he signed his name August Friberg. He listed his father as Carl Friberg and his place of birth as Kalshamn? He also listed his mother as Johanna Person? At this time he was marrying Mathilda Gummerson (maybe Gummsdatter)who listed her place of birth as Karlshamn, her father as Gumme Nilson and her mother as Elsa Nilson. Information I have is conflicting and confusing. I would like to find someone in Blekinge who would look up records to confirm information. Some of the records are avialable through the Mormon Libraries, but I don't read Sweedish! I appreciate your help. Thomas Peasley Frieburg
