Hello,
I think the surname "Frias" comes from a little (and a very beautiful) village:
Frias, province of Burgos, Spain, near to the river Ebro.
Frias was a very important village at 15th century; thus, "Catholic Kings" (Isabel and Fernando)
conceded the title "Duke of Frias" to Bernardino Velasco y Pimentel (III Count of Haro).
