My GGG-grandparents were Thomas Friar, Jr.(1807-1892) and Nancy Richardson Frair. They lived in Claiborne County, Tennessee. My GG gm was Abby Friar Owens. She had brothers George, John / or James and Jasper. I have seen where John/James and Jasper were killed in the Civil War. Also, the P. G. Fulkerson Papers ( he wrote extensively about the early pioneers in Claiborne County) indicated thatThomas Friar, Jr. had severed in the Federal Army during the Civil War. Iknow very little about their son George. He was suppose to have been born in 1834 and married Vanilla Brooks in 1852 in Claiborne County. They had five children in the 1850s.
