My husband's family name is Freymuth. I think the original German spelling is "Freimuth". His family came over from Germany from Belecke, Westphalia, Germany leaving April 1834 and arriving June 4, 1834 at New Orleans. The family came up the Mississippi and settled in St. Charles, Co. Missouri. The orignal immigrants were Johannes Christian Freymuth and wife Catherine Elizabeth Loebbke. Catherine died enroute from New Orleans to St. Louis leaving Johannes with ten children to raise alone. Would these Freymuth's connect with your family? I have visited Belecke Germany and have contacts there for help if needed.
