Found more info in York Co., South Carolina,
probate papers.

Probate Case 18, File 743.
The estate of David Fry or Frey was admin-
istered by a Jacob Frey (of North Carolina)
in York County starting 3 Dec 1823.

Possibly Jacob Frey was David's brother. The
records here do not say. Frey is spelled
several ways in the papers: Fry and Frye.

William Choat, Violet's father, collected her
share of David Frey's estate in December 1825,
two years to the day since Violet died.

Case 19, File 772
Choat was also administrator of Violet Frey's
very small estate starting 13 Jan 1824 and
divided it among six legatees: himself, Violet's
mother Rachael (Simril), a widowed brother-in-
law Zenas Mellon (widower of Cynthia Douglass
(Choat) Mellon), two of Violet's brothers
(Augustine D. and James), and Violet's sole
surviving sister Rachel E. Choat. Violet's
name is generally written in these papers as
"Voilet Frey", but also as "Violet".

No other Freys are mentioned in the estate
papers.
