Mary the mother was the child of Francis Frew and Ann Wallace, born 28th feb 1852 in Dreghorn. She had one previous illegitimate child by a Hugh Stuart, John born 21 Sep 1873 in Dreghorn who was with his mother and Frew grandparents on the 1881 census.
