I am looking for any information about the Fruend family. My husband's grandmother said her mother's name was Gertrude Amy Louise Fruendt, b. 4/10/1890. She married Frederick Ferdinand Wittke before 1911. He was b. 6/26/1884 d. 4/1963. I have an obituary for Gertrude's sister, Elizabeth. She was born 9/17/1879 d. 6/30/1956 in Decatur, ILL. She married Joseph F. Kanariem 2/20/1936. The obituary lists her parents only as Fred Fruend and Amelia Sasse. They moved to Decatur when Elizabeth was 4, about 1883.
