My Father was John Egbert Freund, born in Salt Lake city Utah, 1909. His father was born in Rotterdam Holland and his mother was born in Friesland, Holland, Maiden name Holsengau (SP?). I have been told that there was originally a "Von" preceeding Freund when the family originated in Germany. I have a brother, Richard John Freund of Pleasanton, CA born 1938 in SF. CA and a sister, Joyce Marie Freund Walkup of Manteca, CA born in SF 1946. I was born In SF 1943. Our Mother was Ethel Belle Akard of SF CA born 1913. I believe her maiden name was anglosized from Eckert a few generations back. I sure would appreciate any further information any one might have regarding either side of my family.
