Hi Julie ,
do you know which town your Peter Freund was born in?
Or do you at least have any indication about which area of Hungary?
I have a Georg Freund*11.11.1877 in Sekitsch/Batschka who was married to Elisabetha Müller - they have one son Georg*1902 in Betschmen
There was also a Johann Freund * in Feketitsch who was married to Katharina Morell - this couple have 3 daughters & 1 son all born in Betschmen / Batschka
Freund is a fairly common name so I would need a few more details in order to help you
