. I ordered a delayed birth certificate and he turned out to not be my family - I have no further information on them.

John Fred Freund appeared befor the Circuit Court for the county of Wesco on 5/10/1948 (and paid $1.50)
Comes now John Fred Freund and petitions for the registration of his birth (etc.) he is a resident of the state of OR living at 1124 E. 8th street city of The Dalles , . . he white. . . was born at Portland, Multnomah Co. OR on the 13th day of Jan 1888. etc. His father was Edvic Ludwig Freund b. Winterthur, Zurich, Switzerland on 15 Sept 1856 and at the time of petitioners birth was living in Portland, OR. etc. Mothers name was Eliza (Krebs) Freund maiden name Eliza Krebs born at Kusnacht (Toss) in Zurich, Switzerland on the 15 of Sept 1857 etc.
Needless to say he got the papers the 18 of May 1888
