Freund & Friend Intertwined Continued.

It appears my ancestor came over from Rotterdam in 1751 on the ship "Patience". His name was Phillip Freund, and he would have been 33. Arrived in Philadelphia, his father was Andrew B.1683, born somewhere in Germanic areas? Phillip's wife was Elizabeth b. circa 1726. Most detail in 1776 census
Hagerstown, MD. Phillip's son George b.1752 my probable ancestor, linked to my certain ancestor Samuel L. Friend. Both Sam and George owned land in Milford, Somerset Co. PA, in 1795. Uncertain relationsip between Sam and George. Freund name changed to Friend prior to 1776. By 1808 Samuel L. had
moved to South Perry, Ohio, d. 1845. George
L. Friend b.12/3/1790 in PA was Sam's son.
George's son was Isaac Friend, b. 2/14/1827 in Ohio. Isaac's son was Charles E. Friend b. 2/19/1874, d. 7/28/48 Orange City, Fl, and Charles's son was my father John A. Friend b. 6/25/1928. I could use help with confusion about Samuel and George relationship in 1795, and where in the Germanic world did Phillip come from? Thanks!!
