Hi Lana, is your husband a relative to the Frerking elevator there in Corder. My friend and I stayed in Higginsville about 3 or 4 years ago to see if I could find my Dad's grandparents grave and we brought the history and Louise ( we all call Lou) was taking pictures at the Corder cemetery and I was looking at the book and I told her after she had used 3 rolls I think I'm related to every one in here one way or other. We went to the elevater and met the 2 boys and I think it was their Dad we met in Concordia nursing home. We live in Wichita, Kansas and my grandson lives in the St. Louis area. I got to meet Loberta and another Frerking in Higginsville who started the history and Gary Frerking had it on line for a few years until he got knocked off. My great granddad had a dairy in Higginsville and his son and his baby daughter died the same day with the flu, because my Dad was the older one of the grandsons he move out with his grandparents to help with the dairy and finished his schooling to the 8th grade in higginsville. I'm 76 and 1/2 and wishd I had got interested earlier in life so I could asked Dad more. My great grandparents are William(Bill) and Adleheide(sp)I have a picture of them. Lou say it is a charcoal picture. Lou got me out what I need to make the CD so I will get with it. You can e-mail at [email protected] if you want to. later Donna
