Frerking Family Genealogy Forum

Think it's about time I put my ancestors here and see if anyone is related to those of us who stayed in the Ohio River Valley.
My William Frerking 1845-1904 arrived at Baltimore in September of 1866, as a twenty yeasr old. He was accompanied by his business partner, Aufdembrinke, and his sister, Erica/Rickie Neuman and another brother. His sister and brother stayed in Baltimore while William came directly to Cincinnati. He married in 1870 in Dearborn County Indiana, Elise Sophia Leffler 1850-1908 and they had Alva (Marshall), Olga (Costello), Hulda (Schmidt), Linda Anna, Tirza (Schraffenberger), Ida pronounced Eda (Rauh), Lulu/Lola (Flamm) and William Frederick Frerking (Jones), named for his grandfather.
William and Mr. Aufdembrinke owned a carpentry business at 11 Pleasant St. in Cinti. and later became funeral directors. William and Elise are buried at Vine Street Hill Cemetery.
All I ever heard was of the Frerking relatives in Baltimore, none anywhere else and that some of the Lefflers went west to Iowa and Missouri. Happy to hear what anyone might have to add................
