I would like to exchange information with either/both of you... I have a Robert Franklin French, b. ca. 1835 in MS, who m. in Concordia Parish, LA in 1847 to Rosina Elizabeth McKinney. They had five children that I know of -- Alfred (b. 1851, m. Eugenie Marcellite Maraist), Elisabeth (my forebear, b. 11-25-1852, m. Jules Richard), Melinda (b. 1855), Rosina (b. 1857), and Thomas (b. 1859).I know that Robert and Rosina lived for a time in St. Martin Parish, LA, but I have been unable to find death records for either of them and wonder if they left that area.(Elisabeth stayed in St. Martin Parish.)I know nothing more -- I've been looking for years for the parents of Robert and Rosina, but no luck.I know that Rosina's mother was Elizabeth, and there was a Ferdinand French listed next to Robert in the 1850 census who I suspect was a brother. But that's all...Anything here strike a bell?Email me or post if you'd like to exchange information...
