I am looking for information on a Joseph French born about 1820 in Maine. He appears in the 1870 Pike Co Ms census as a boarder with William Walters. He marries William's daughter, Dorcas, and both families are on the 1880 Rapides Parrish La census.
I do not find a French that fits on the 1860 census.
I have found info on the net that a Joseph B French was born 6 Feb 1820 in Windham, Cumberland Co., Me and is the son of William F French (b: Abt 1793) and Elois Barnell (b: Abt 1797).
Any information on this Joseph B French or other Joseph Frenchs from this time period in Maine will be appreciated.
