Sharon Elaine (French) Halvin Obit
PALM HARBOR, Fla. — Sharon Elaine Halvin, 65, of Palm Harbor, Fla., passed away March 9, 2008.
Born April 23, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Randall and Mary Leanna French. Sharon was a member of the Eastern Star Ypsilanti Chapter #119. She was a member of the Tecumseh United Methodist Church. Sharon retired from Tecumseh Public Schools. She then graduated from Washtenaw Community College, Magna Cum Laude. Upon retirement, Sharon traveled extensively though out the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico. She loved all wildlife and donated much time to its cause.
Sharon also loved her grandchildren, spoiling them with much love. Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Ron Halvin, Nov. 29, 1960. She is survived by two sons, Randy of Clearwater, Fla., and Sean, of South Lyon, Mich.; five grandchildren, Randall, Kyle, Kelli, Zachary and Austin; and one sister, Sandra Wahtera of Plymouth, Mich. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date in Clearwater, Fla. Any contributions may be made in her honor to the Humane Society.
