I am looking for the parents of Joseph French who died in Billerica MA 2 Nov 1853 at age 35 years and 5 months. His parents may be Joseph French and Abigail. The death record has his birth in Maine and father named Joseph. I believe the Joseph French who d. in 1853 is the same Joseph French who m. Elizabeth Puffer in Billerica 7 Nov 1843. On the image of the marriage record he is 25 and his parents names are Joseph French and Abigail. No birth location is given.
The Vital records to 1850 of Billerica as given in the NEHGS database has the following informaton on the marriage:
FRENCH Joseph, 25, laborer, b. Porter, Me., s. Joseph and Abigail of Porter, Me., and Elizabeth A. Puffer, 22, b. Sudbury, d. Asa dec'd and Elizabeth dec'd, Nov. 7, 1843. * [Elisebeth A., C.R.2.]
Joseph and Elizabeth A. (Puffer) French had a son Augustus Mason French b. 1854 in Billerica and d. 10 June 1903 in North Attleborough MA
