Just found the marriage record for Jehiel FRENCH to Eunice TURNY 26 Dec 1757 in Congrgational Church Stratford/Trumbull CT. Known child was Elijah FRENCH b 1763 Stratford CT.
Elijah FRENCH m Tabitha UNKOWN. They joined the Quakers and requested membership in the Easton and Saratoga MM in 1791 but later migrated to Hartland MM in Niagara Co, NY. Probable children:(The records don't always list the parents names.)
-David b 1792 Charleston, NY
-Eunice b 1793 Charleston, NY m Jerimiah WESTGATE
-John T. b 1794 Charleston, NY
-Anna b 1799 Charleston, NY m Abraham WEST
-Huldah b 1801 Charleston, NY
-Jehiel/Jerial b 1805 Charleston, NY m Hannah BOWERMAN --in 1840 requested transfer to Quaker MM in Adrian MI with wife and children Elijah b 1830 and Helen
Elijah d in Niagara Co NY in 1828 age 63 yrs 18 days--death was recorded at Hartland (NY) MM.
I am not related, but just found these records while researching a very distant connection in the Quaker records--(James E Hazard Index to The Records of New York Yearly Meeting of the Religious Scoiety of Friends--online at www.swarthmore.edu/library/friends/hazard).
