Can't verify much but can give you some of the information I have found online. This is my granddaughter's line. Trying to research it for her.....she's interested in her ancestors but is only 10!!!

I found a marriage record for John C. and Gracy ???, 1856 in AL. Like you I find him with his children but wife, Sarah, is not there.
