Joseph P. French was born 23 March 1812 in South Carolina. He married Mary Brown, moved to Eufaula, Alabama and then later to Troy, Alabama. He was the pastor of at least 3 Baptist Churches in Pike County following the War Between the States. His nickname was Josey. A lot of his family moved to Texas following the war. Any info apprecated.
