I, too, am related to a French line. My 3rd greatgrandfather was John B. French who married Juliana Sophia Hoblitzell in 1819 in Allegany County, MD. I have been searching a long time to find from whom this John B. French descended. Since Allegany County, MD is on the border with VA this John B. French could be related to the French line from VA. There was a Joseph French in Allegany County and long ago I found a will on him. No John listed....but my John B. French could be John Burgess French and be a son of a William French who possibly is a brother to the above Joseph French. This William that I spoke of ended up in KY....do you have any information that could possibly help me? John B. French and Juliana Sophia Hoblitzell French migrated to Crawford County, Ohio by 1821 and he was one of the first associate judges of that County. Plese help me if you can and thank you for reading this.
