Hello William; I am not very famiiar with my "French" line, so I thought I would give you what I do know. Perhaps you have more data concerning your ancestors, and maybe we connect somewhere? You probably are familiar with the "Mayflower" surnames. My maternal ancestry is peppered with them, although I realize not all were direct descendants who were on that maiden voyage of the Mayflower. Most were from the Plymouth, MA. region for several years, however. I do have one proven Mayflower ancestor, and that was through the Captain Francis Cooke. His daughter, Mary, was born in Plymouth, MA however. She married John Tomson/Thompson, and their daughter Mary married Thomas Taber. Their son Joseph married Elizabeth Spooner. Their son William Taber married Mary Wing. Their son Amaziah married Silence Babcock. Their daughter Elizabeth married Miller Harding. Their daughter Phylura married Sam Gerkin. Phylura and Sam were my mother's great grandparents. I know there is a Harding line that connected to the early settlers in Plymouth, but there are missing pieces with Miller's family; however, since he was born in Washington Co., N.Y. and many settlers there were originally from Plymouth (like his wife's family) I am suspicious his ancestors were too. Silence Babcock, Elizabeth Taber's mother, was a daughter of; George Babcock and his wife, Luce House. Luce was a daughter of David House and Silence FRENCH. Silence was a daughter of; John FRENCH and his wife, Elizabeth Foster. I realize none of these names will be interesting to you UNLESS some of them are in your database. So, that is why I wrote this out; let me know if any of these names are familiar to you. Thanks, pfg Notify Administrator about this message?
