Thomas French on The Ship "Chester" Passenger List, New York 1842

Seeking information on the origins and family of Thomas French from Ireland, who arrived in the US at New York on 16 Jun 1842. He was a passenger on the Ship "Chester". He is listed as age 29. Also on the list were: John French, age 20; James French, age 13; and Edward French, age 10.

The Chester was out of Liverpool, England (probably with a stop in Ireland).

James was "born of Scottish parents, in Ireland". The parents died and he came to the US at the age of approximately 13, and eventually ended up in Philadelphia. I have no information on any of the others.
