Need to find descendant of John C. French born 1791 in SC, maybe, and wife Sarah Unknown born NC,maybe about 1800. They were found on the 1850 DeKalb, AL census with daughters Sarah born 1833, Margarette M born 1835 and Martha born 1840. The 1850 census listed the girls as all born in AL but another posting I found for a possible match to the daughter Margarette stated that she was born in KY. I believe John and Sarah had sons William and Josiah D.French, also. William French, age 22, is also found in the same county for the 1850 AL census as married to wife Elizabeth C. Unknown, age 18, and having a son,James D. French, a few months old. Living in William's household was Josiah D. French age 20 and probably the brother to William age 22. I cannot locate James C.French nor his son William French again at allm but I can find the grandson of James C. French - James D. French born about 1850 again in 1880 in Cooke County, TX and then again for 1900 in IT and he, age 60, and wife, 55, are in NM for 1910. I believe that James D. French might have had a brother, R C French as these two families are both in Cooke County, TX for 1880 census. If any one can fill in any of these huge gaps in my information, I would appreciate the help.
