There was a Baron De Freyne latest resident in South Africa whose estates in Ireland, I believe were auctioned a couple of years back.
Also, there is a record I saw a couple of years back that records the French name as being derived from the name of two brothers who emigrated from France to England in AD 1179 (around time of Henry II from Acquitaine and the succession to his son Richard I). Their names were Simon and Jean La Frensche.
