Hi Sherry,
I guess I should say long lost cousin. Great to hear from you. I will definitely go to find a grave and look for your picture of John's headstone.
For Sarah I have a letter sent to me in response to a query from 1975 on John and Sarah.
Here is the information:

Dear Mrs. Parsons,
In reply to your letter the only information on our records is in regard to Sarah Frieholtz.
She died July 20, 1892 at the age of 52. The cause of death was listed as Heat Prostration. She was buried in Mt. Vernon Cemetery July 21.
Funeral expenses were as follows:
Casket and box $20.00
Hearse 8.00
Digging Grave 5.00
1 bottle of fluid 1.00
[Total] $34.00
We searched our records for her husband, but were unable to find any information. They kept very poor records back then and it could be that they failed to enter his name.

I am sure we both have other information that could be of use to the both of us. I would like to know when they arrived in the Atchison, Kansas area. John arrived with his brother in 1854 but I do not know where they went from New York where they docked.
Do you have any of that information?
