I have a John Reed Mitchell born 1814 somewhere in AL was married to a Mary first md - she died after second child and he remarried Ann Vardy in Parker county,Tx I found what looks like him and hope some one smarter than me can tell me if I have the right one.
1850 Mississippi census,Tishomingo county Northern dist # 4
J.R. Mitchel age 31 born Al
Wife Mary age 21 born TN
son William age 1 born MS
Then in Familysearch I found John Reed Mitchell married to Mary S. Freeman on 13-Oct-1848 in Tishomingo county,MS
Close by is son one that could possible be his father
1850 MS census,Tishomingo co., Nothern Dist #4
John Mitchel age 55 born NC
wife Rachell age ? forgot TN
son George age 17 born AL
dau. Mary age 13 born AL
Benjamin son age 12 born AL
dau Jane age 10 born AL
dau Martha age 7 born MS
Also close is A.A. Freemann age 35 or 55 hard to read b-NC
wife Sarah age 34 born TN
Dau Mary age 11 born Al
son John age 10 born Al
dau Sarah age 8 born Al
dau Ann age 6 born Al
dau Martha age 7 born Al
Could someone tell me if this could be the right John Reed Mitchell married to the right Mary ? ?
