I would appreciate Any Help on a Republic of Texas-1836 Vet ,also a Us-Mexico War Vet.Thomas E. Freeman born in Ohio-1813/ 1816..He went to Calif for the Gold Rush with a couple of his Texas Ranger buddies. He returned to Texas in late 1860,s.Went back to Calif., returned to Texas in 1886 to apply for his pension. He married the widow, Susan R.Johnston-Johnson in 1889 in Austin Texas. She was 45 yr. younger than him. They moved to Houston Texas in 1890 to start a tailor shop.He died in the last of 1890 or 1891. I would Love to be able to find his burial site.Supposely in a German Cem..i am unsure if Thomas was only married one time ? Because of the age different, Susan R. Freeman would become the oldest living related survivor of the 1836 Texas Independence Battle. She lived to be 97-98 yr.,died in 1957.Thank You For Any Help ! Dan Salmon-fishsalmondan@yahoo.com
