Would anyone have information about a William Freeman who was living in Wilkes co or Oglethorpe co Georgia in 1796> Was he associated somehow with the Echols/Eckles family? I think he might have been form Virginia before Ga. Jane Echols/Eckles married Solomon ray in 1796 in Wilkes co Ga. I am trying to fine who her parents were. William Freeman's name was on their marriage record in 1796. Lewis Hammock signed as surety. Any help appreciated. Thanks
