Dr. James FREELAND York, SC 1788
Who is this Dr. James FREELAND and where was he in 1788? Ogechee appears to be one of the early Georgia parishes (St. Paul) that would have become Wilkes or Richmond Co. Tryon/ Lincoln County appears to be the location of Jacob Huffstetler on or near Long Creek. Could FREELAND be a transcription error for FREEMAN? Possible Quaker ties in this area with Wrightsborough.
