Harold Lloyd Freedman, born in London (UK), married Rebecca Sherman (originally Smeylan, Jewish surname from ?Russia), in England and emigrated to California in the late 1940s or early 1950s, settling at Culver City (Los Angeles Co) CA. Harold worked as a baker there, Rebecca as a claims supervisor for Blue Cross. Harold had served WWII in the RAF in India as a musician (percussion).
Rebecca had a twin sister, Rachel, who married Jack Young, and remained in London. There are two children, Andrew & Cynthia; one of the Youngs owns or owned a black cab in London. Rebecca had another sister, Estelle, who spelled the surname Charmain, who came to Los Angeles, and worked in a dress shop, "House of Nine".
