Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My grandfather was Karl Albert Fredricksson He emigrated from Sweden 1898 with his wife and child (My father). He was born in Lysinge Sweden. I don't know if that is in Varmland. His father was Oskar Fredrick Marsh. We think that was his army name and we have not been able to find his birth records or his parents names.
My grandfather (Karl Albert) arrived at Ellis Island and settled in a small Swedish community in Fairfield, Connecticut, where I was born. He died never leaving there. Let me know if there is a connection.
