Debbie,

I show three Celanire's in the Frechette marriage book. One has a connection to the DUBE family. It is as follows:

Descendants of Celanire Frechette

1 Celanire Frechette Father: Stanislas Frechette Mother: Sara Rousseau
. +Joseph Dube m: October 25, 1897 in Sainte-Bibiane, Richmond Father: Damase Dube Mother: Emerence Lemire

I am not sure if it was common practice to use grandparents for god parents. From what I have seen I would say that it was not done very often.

This Frechette line goes back to Francois Freschet the second Frechette to arrive in New France in 1677. Wish I could be of more help.

Mikie :-)
