Hi,
I'm trying to help my grandfather learn more about his father, Alfred Louis Frechette, b. 1888 Colorado.
We think Alfred's father's name was Louis, b. in St. Louis, a newspaper man who may have died around 1889. We know absolutely nothing about his mother, except that when Louis died (when Alfred was one), she sent Alfred away - possibly to live with her brother in Los Angeles. He was then sent to a Catholic orphanage in Southern CA, and then when he was old enough, went to work in Hollister for a woman, last name Sheahn (sp?).
Anyway, Alfred Louis (my g-grandfather) married my g-grandmother, Louise Chassagne (other names: Robinson, Figone). He died at 42 on 9/30/29 of kidney tumor.
Any knowledge of this branch is greatly appreciated.
