I misstated something ... FRASER OF LOVAT is the one with buck's head;CLAN FRASER (SALTOUN) has the strawberries ... for proper use of heraldic insignia, please check the following web sites:
For Scotland (Lyon Court, Edinburgh):

http://users.aol.com/ballywoodn/acheraldry.htmlThe appropriate use and inheritance of heraldic insignia is an extremely complex matter. It's always best to go to the source (the original granting body) to find out what their rules of inheritance and transfer are ... they're not the same everywhere.
The appropriate use and inheritance of heraldic insignia is an extremely complex matter. It's always best to go to the source (the original granting body) to find out what their rules of inheritance and transfer are ... they're not the same everywhere.I hate to make a big deal of this but somehow it seems inconsistent that people with interests in accurate documentation and chronicling of family history would handle heraldic insignia any less responsibly ... after all, we don't claim to be descendants of someone with the same surname unless we can prove it, so why would we appropriate someone else's arms who simply happened to have the same name?
