Prof. Aaron Frazier ~ son of Abraham Frazier

At nine o'clock Sunday morning, July 22, death came to the relief of Prof. AARON FRAZIER who had been in delicate health for several years. For more than a year past he had been unable to leave his room and had patiently awaited the call of the Master.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at ll o'clock, Monday morning and burial was in the I.O.O.F cemetery immediately after. The funeral services were conducted by local lodge of the Masons of which order MR. FRAZIER had been a member for many years.
Besides the widow, MR. FRAZIER is survived by two daughters, MRS. MINNIE EVERETT, of Portland, and MRS. ANNA ADAMSON, of Prineville, and two sons, GAY L., of Portland, and FREDERICK D., of Dufur and seven grandchildren.
AARON FRAZIER was born in Kenton County, Ohio, on October 22, l832. He was a son of ABRAHAM FRAZIER, a native of North Carolina. During the Revolutionary War the FRAZIERS owned a mill in that part of the country. They were a Quaker family and remained neutral during the conflict. In l860, at Blanchester, Ohio, MR. FRAZIER married JENNIE WILLIAMS, a native of that State, who died in l872. The second marriage of MR. FRAZIER took place a few years later when he was united in marriage to HULDAH H. HAM at Leon, Iowa. Death came to him at his home in Dufur, Oregon, on July 22, l923.
MR. FRAZIER was a member of the A.F. and A.M. and past Master of the R.A.M. and past High Priest, and a K.T. of the Osceola Iowa Commandery. The I.O.O.F. being Past Grand.
He served many years as County Superintendent of Schools in Oregon and Indiana; was County Surveyor of Yamhill County for six years; City Recorder in various places, including Dufur; nine years Principal of the Dufur School, and was Principal of the High Schools in Frankport, Indiana; Berlin, Wisconsin; Leon, Iowa; and McMinnville, Oregon. He assisted in framing a legislative bill and was instrumental in the organization of the present school system in Iowa.
A record of his school teaching showed that he had taught 500 months in Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Oregon.
