The author of this book stopped, probably due to lack of records, with the generations born in 1790's and 1800's.She does mention earlier Frazier's, but can't definitively connect them to her ancestors. Some early Fraziers (Frashur, Frashure) were:
Robert Frazier - was in Henry County, Va. in 1782 and was also taxed in 1767.Robert is listed in Tithables and Lands taken by George Jefferson in Pittsylvania County and Cambden Parish in 1767.
John Frazer, son of Persifor, Clayton or Carlton Frazer of Scotland and Monoghan, Ireland, who married Mary Smith in 1735, settled in Newton.Their son Persifor became a General in the Rev. War.
William Frazier listed in 1715 Phil. Penn.married to Hanah Clemens. They had a son named Alexander who was a Reverend and lived in Maryland in 1727.
In Guilford, Conn. there was listed an Alexander Frazer, s/o Simon Fraser, 12th Lord Lavat, before 1745.A letter from the Town of Guilford, Office of Town Clerk, Guilford, Conn. dated July 26, 1972 and signed by Town Clerk, Mildred B. Phillips is as follows:
"Alexander Frasior, Son of Alexander by Damaris his wife was born October 8th 1745", "Charles Fraser, Son of Alexander by Damaris his wife was born January 24th, 1747", "Mary Ann Fraser daughter of Alexander Fraser by Damaris his wife was born August 5th 1748"
I don't know if any of this is of value, but if it is, let me know if you want a hard copy, I would be happy to mail it to you.
