My great grandfather was James Frazer who immigrated to new york city in 1852. He claimed on documents that he was from Longford County Ireland. Do you have any information on Frazer or Scot settlers to Longford County?

Also I have seen the name spelled various ways: frazier, fraser, frashure, frazer etc. Do you have any info as to why the various spellings?
