Dear Jane, Thank you for your Frazer leads. I do not know if the PRONI records are accurate, but they are there to inspect. If I could establish a link with my 8th grt gm Mary/Margaret Frazer and Simon #11, I could get further back with my research, that is why I am investigating the matter of : 'nearly related'. I do have some further theory that SHE may be the daughter or of the family of James F of Newton and Dunballoch 1619-1705 & Mary/Margaret Fraser of Belladrum...( dau of Hugh F. of Belladrum and a dau of Patrick Grant of Cluniemoir). I am not sure if those names will ring any bells for you... I do know that by several direct ancestors ; Bruce / Stewart / Campbell, the Frasers are directly related; and Simon #11 by marriage to Primrose Campbell (granddau of 9th Earl of Argyll) ; their son Archibald Fraser + descendants. To complicate my urgency: my 6 grt grandfather Neil Campbell "Principal at Glasgow University", comes from mysterious parentage and often considered the natural son of the 9th Earl of Argyll or his son Hon Major John Campbell (father of Primrose), both executed ...if this is so Primrose Campbell and son Archibald Fraser would be even more 'nearly related', then ever...this makes my search two fold. I am not sure where the answers, if ever will be found, as to the origin of the Frazer wife of John Crozier of Upper Stramore. Their descendants married my other directs: Johnston of Gillford Castle, Acheson's of Gosford, Magill of Gill Hall, all known to have come over from Scotland as well. Should anything further occur to you, please do not hesitate to forward this message to your Fraser/Frazer contacts. Thank you once again, David Notify Administrator about this message?
