Ffrazer spelling with 2 Fs

In print I find reference to my Frazer line spelled with one F. On official documents and in their own signature I find the name spelled with two Fs. They were from Ireland and lived between 1870 and 1932 in the US.

Does anyone know why the name would have two Fs?

Thank you.

Laurel
