i am on a fishing trip here .. hoping for a bite lol.
or better yet a clue ..
according to the old traditions the second son was blessed with the mothers maiden name .
well that second son was my great grandfather and his middle name was fraser
so i am hoping one of you folks can help me out ..
Winnie C. ______ was born abt. 1811-1814 in North Carolina
Mother unknown from Virginia and father unknown from France
i get this from the census records i have seen ..
however this is my guess of migration for this maybe fraser family ..
Virginia was a good port to enter America so i guess that Daddy landed from France and later met Moma for some reason moved to North Carolina and had Winnie C.
now being that Winney C. married Hubby John Lee when she was about 20 Yrs old and a woman of that age was not left unescorted in those days.. i would agian guess that this maybe Fraser family moved to South Carolina .
now Winney's children are born in Three different states .. the oldest that i can prove is born in South Carolina 1831 .Then there is Three born in Georgia from 1836-1843.Then one born in Alabama 1848 but all show on the 1850 census records in Talledega co. Alabama
now after all this guessing i have done .. Maybe just Maybe i have struck on a hint of truth and one of you kind folks can help me out ..
