Dear Cousin, The line goes this way: (1) John Bernard Frazier, b. 1674, Carteret County, NC (2) Daniel Frazier, b. 1703, Bertie County, NC (3) William Frazier, b. 1730, Bertie County, NC, moved to Granville Co., NC (4) Arthur Frazier (changed to Frazer in Georgia), b. 1761, Granville Co., NC, migrated to 1st Lincoln Co., GA with cousin Alexander Frazer, and then to Harris County, GA, where he is buried. I don't know when Alexander migrated to AL, but Lincoln and Harris Counties are close to the Alabama line and Chambers County. John A. Frazer lived with Alexander for awhile, and therein lies the reason for his appearance on the 1840 census, but he is not his son. (5) John A. Frazer (1800-1861) was the son of Arthur Frazer and 2nd wife, Mary "Polly" Goodrum. He married Louisa Graves. He died in Chambers County, AL, but to my knowledge he was born in Georgia, although Arthur did return to NC to marry Polly Goodrum after his first wife, Elizabeth Knott, died in 1798. He was the stepbrother of my ancestor, (6) John "Haywood" Frazer, and the uncle of my gg-grandfather, (7) John Anderson Frazer, II., b. 1829. My g-grandfather was (8) Luther "Lute" Chalmers Frazer, Sr., b. 1858. My grandfather was (9) L.C. Frazer, Jr., b. 1892. My mother was (10) Rowena Jane Frazer Darden, b. 1917.
