I know that my gggggggggrandfather settled in the Marsh Creek Settlement (Gettysburg) Pa. His name was David Frazer. He died 1781 in Washington County, Pa where he had another farm. He acquired a 250 acre farm in Gettysburg in 1738. He married and had a son Samuel(1745-1832) who married Rosannah Creighton. Samuel's mother died most likely in childbirth or travel. David remarried Jennet______. They had six more children John,Robert,Francis,Jennet, Elisabeth and Sarah. It was while in Washington County late 1700's the spelling became Frazier. I have his deeds, will etc. I know where his land was located and where Samuel my ggggggggrandfather lived and settled and all the way down through. I haven't been just guessing but doing a lot of research and making copies, copies, copies. I know what happended to his other children and I know Samuel's line down to me. I don't know where David came from and how he got to Marsh Creek Settlement in PA or his wife's name. Samuel's mother. I would appreciate any help. We figure he was born 1710 or 1720 in Scotland but have no way of knowing since we can only trace him back to Gettysburg PA. He also willed some land he owned in Washington County PA on King's Creek. I am still trying to research that area in Washington County. Names changed, States became states, County lines formed and changed. This has not been an easy journey with David but it sure has been a lesson in not only family beginnings but history. Thank you Notify Administrator about this message?
