Robert Frazer
I am interested in the Frazers that descend from a certain Robert Frazer that died in Franklin County in 1837.
This being the Pvt. Robert Frazer that went with Lewis and Clark.I know that he had a first wife who died in St. Louis, leaving him with children, before he married Tabitha.Lewis is a son to Robert and the wife Tabitha. Lewis married a Susannah Skinner. They adopted children from Susannah’s sister.Susannah’s father is living with them in Polk County and is buried with them there. ( I have a lot on the Skinner line.) Then there is another matter ofMaj. Robert Russell H. Frazer who died in 1842. I want more on this Maj. Robert R.H. Frazer – is he a son – or could he be a brother – I don’t know if he had a wife? I know he was a blacksmith in Newport, Franklin County at his death.I don’t know what became of the children from Robert’s first marriage. I believe I have the family back to Ireland correctly. My Robert was born in Augusta County Virginia (not in 1785 but earlier) and did spend time in Vermont, even to return there after moving to Missouri. It is from him forward that I am working on. I do believe I have the location of the grave of Robert Frazer and am desperately trying to contact descendents of him.
