Hello Doug,

I hope you are doing well. The Robert Barclay I am referring to was born in Kilbernia, (Ayrshire County) Scotland on April 20, 1842. He moved to Nova Scotia in 1851 and on to the USA in 1867. The 1851 census for Kilberia shows a Robert Barclay age 10 (this fits). He was the son of Francis Barclay and Barbara (no last name). I am assuming Francis and Barbara are the parents of the Robert I am researching , but you know what they say about assuming. There was another Robert Barclay Christened March 12, 1843 in Kilbernia. Francis Barclay's parents were John Barclay and Katherine Muir (married Jan. 17, 1801 in Kilberia). This is as far as I have been able to trace the Barclay line. Please contact me here or at ramyot@mindspring.com Thanks
