Hi Rosie,
I wonder whether you know anything of the parentage of Susan Kiddle Hawker.
Some of my ancestors were Kiddles and others were Traves's. In the 1861 census, an Elizabeth Hawker(b. c1801) is enumerated as being with one of the Traves familiesas, an Aunt, I believe. The mother of the Head of household, not present, was a Kiddle by birth.
In the 1851 census, a Susan Hawker is staying with another Travis family (Head being father of the Head above) as a niece (b. c1834).
This leads me to believe that this Elizabeth Hawker may be the mother of Susan and that Elizabeth may have been a Kiddle by birth. However, I can find no record af any marriage between a Hawker and an Elizabeth Kiddle.
Although I don't have any of the Frayling birth certificates, I got the impression that Edwin John was the son of EDWIN Frayling and Susan Kiddle Hawker, rather than JOHN (marriage 1858/Q3/Bridgwater/5c/612).
I look forward to hearing from you with any information.
John.
