The spelling of the name has many variations. However, all the variations have their origins in France (Gaul). The Frisii Clan fought Julius Caesar and even then, the strawberry leaf emblem was associated with them. In 1066 some Clan members were in the army of Willilam of Normandy who conquered England. The Frasers migrated to Scotland and from there to America. So you probably have both Scotch and French bloodlines. Many spellings, same clan.
